Where are you based?
St. Augustine, Florida. Serving North East Florida and surrounding areas to include but not limited to Ponte Vedra, Jacksonville, Saint Johns, and Nocatee.
What's your photography style?
I prefer to use natural light whenever possible. I can work with lighting when necessary. During newborn sessions I prefer to stick to simple backdrops, complimentary color schemes, neutrals and props and if clients would like to include something sentimental of their own in any of the pictures I ask that we limit those special items to one or two. My overall goal is to exude the love, energy, and beauty that you want to see in every photo. Capturing candid moments and creatively posed portraits will make for a beautiful and diverse selection of images. Every photo session is unique and thus uniquely edited. What's most important to me is that you love the final product.
What services do you offer?
I specialize in Family, Newborn, Maternity, and Children. I also do small events, graduate/senior portraits, and Engagements. I'm happy to work with you on any of your requests that range outside of the services listed. Contact me to customize a session package. I am a legitimate registered LLC.
What all do I get from my Investment?
There is, of course, the session itself. A fun session snapping hundreds of pictures of silly faces and laughter or beautiful portraits. Beyond our meeting, within each photo session entails numerous hours of culling and editing each photo individually. I take pride in every picture and try to ensure they meet all expectations which takes quite a bit of time. After editing, your photos are presented to you through an online gallery. Researching and planning out the location of choice and having plenty of communication from the client to specify their vision for the photos and lock down dates and times, the drive time to and from the session, the session itself, hours of culling and editing, creating an individualized online gallery specifically sited for your session, social media management, communication with the client on how to best receive their images and prepping the images for delivery. There is a lot of time and care that goes into every session. And if you add in a newborn session there's even more time spend prepping a studio for a newborn session, planning possibilities for the newborn during the session, clean up time afterwards, and additional touch up work while editing.
How fast will I get my pictures back?
Within one week I will post a sneak peek of your images in progress. It typically takes two to three weeks to produce a quality product and finished gallery for you. I respect my client's privacy so I will always ask if they are comfortable with posting sneak peeks to social media. However please keep in mind that as a photographer I get business by showing my work and advertising my images.
How do I receive my final product?
Each session will receive a USB or digital download of their edited images. My current business model is simple, I provide the full edited gallery for my sessions. This is because I lead a very busy life of a mom of four wonderful children. When life allows I will be switching to something closer to a Boutique style business model which will allow me to spend more time with my clients and their chosen quality products. Clients will be given the rights to print and these photos are theirs for personal use only. Should they want to show off their family, kids, event, etc to the world (I know I always do), a second set of pictures will be provided which include Holly Scott Photography's watermark on them for copyright purposes and public use. I use professional editing software but I do not Photoshop or make drastic changes to images. I'm happy to outsource client's images to a third party for an additional fee should they desire very specific changes that require those services.
